    DESCRIPTION

    This one-of-a-kind, wheel thrown vase is created from a medium high fire stoneware and finished with a matte brownish-blue glaze. It is decorative and can hold water for displaying a wild bouquet or on its own. Due to the unique nature of the firing process, the glaze and finish may have subtle imperfections, bubbling or color variations.

    Lanko Miyazaki is a Japanese, Korean, American artist and the creator of whimsical, decorative ceramics. Inspired by her Japanese roots and the traditional arts of the American Southwest, her collection of high-fire cone 10 stoneware uses tightly curated clay bodies and glazes, combining wheel-thrown and hand-building techniques to create one-of-a-kind heirloom pieces. These unique pieces have been featured throughout the US and Asia. In addition to ceramics, Lanko is an accomplished metalsmith and classically trained musician.
