Nana Agyemang is a multimedia journalist who is holding media companies responsible for hiring diverse talent. While building her career across internationally acclaimed publications including New York Magazine, ELLE Magazine, The New York Times and BBC News, she observed a high barrier to entry for diverse women outside of major cities. With a master plan to instate change, Nana established ESG media company to advocate fair representation of Black and Brown women in fashion and journalism. With overwhelming support for this mission, she successfully introduced the ESG Biz Career Advancement directory in June comprising more than 200 thoroughly vetted Black and Brown women in roles across fashion, media and beauty. This has proven incredibly powerful as companies are able to subscribe, hire talent and contribute to the long-term growth of Black and Brown women breaking glass ceilings.
